Quilt Block Exchange

My friend Erica and a few others have organized a quilt block exchange.  Basically 20 of us have made quilt squares, same pattern but different fabric (Denyse Schmidt Flea Market Fancy) mixed with white.  They will all coordinate and make one super cute bright quilt.  We are meeting this week to exchange the blocks. I was pretty nervous about 1. Getting done on time. Huge thanks to Jen for helping me!!!  and 2. worrying that my squares would look really bad.  I have a few that look pretty good, so for the other 17 of you, sorry!  What can I say fabric is not my medium of choice!! But I tried, and I had fun.

So you joined the blogging bandwagon too huh! I'm glad you found my blog! I have to say it has been really fun to get in touch with old friends this way and see what everyone's up to! Your little guy is so cute! Where abouts are you in DC? Jared and I will be out there next month, he is going to some medicine convention to present some of his work. It would be fun to see you.

You'll have to post a picture of your quilt all pieced together so we can see all of the blocks!

And I would love to grill for you when you come to visit! Will that be in June for the cabin & reunion?

Seriously, I am sure they are great! Mine aren't even close to perfect. I am so glad you did it! Don't worry, fabric isn't my medium of choice. I much rather work with paper!

What a great idea! I think I need to organize this with my friends. I think I might try all black and white! Can't wait to see the finished product.
